Heart of Nagano mountains

Easy access to over 10 ski mountains from the lodge, meaning high chance for fresh powder. 3 minutes easy walk to Tangram ski circus chair lift and we have a free check in / out shuttle. If you would like to explore many ski mountains, we recommend to hire a car.

Some restaurants are in walkable distance, however, you can get much more options with a hire car.  Having dinner in local restaurants gives you a great opportunity to experience real Japanese food/culture.

Exchange money

We take credit card and the ski resort also take credit card, however it’s still common to use cash in Japan, especially in the country side. Some of the local restaurants don’t take credit card, we recommend to bring cash before Nagano. Japan post usually have the best exchange rate. also all convenient stores have an ATM to withdraw cash.

International driver licence

To get a rental car, you must have the original international driver license document. Also recommend to hire a 4WD with snow tyres if you would like to travel ski resorts by car.

Courier service

‘Black cat’ is the easiest way to send your luggage. It takes 1 day in the main island and 2 days to airports. Please write your check in date and your name when you send us before check in. Also put ‘White Tree Lodge’ when filling out the address.
